Blending trends and timelessness, Eileen Fisher is a designer known for creating fashion without an expiration date. Fisher started her company in 1984, with a design philosophy rooted in simplicity and ease. She has been deeply inspired by Japanese design and by fabrics from around the world, particularly those that are artisanally made. Excited about having brought the company’s design values to Canada, she was struck by the focus on the quality of life, as well as the leadership Vancouver has shown with respect to environmental stewardship. The synergy between the ease, functionality and simple elegance of the brand’s clothes and the relaxed, cosmopolitan Vancouver lifestyle were a perfect match for the beginning of Eileen Fisher’s retail entry into Canada.
Brand enthusiasts received the arrival of the store with open arms. The consistent store design, product offering and customer service had customers assuming that the US headquarters had finally brought the brand to Canada! The seamless opening of the Vancouver franchise store has inspired and motivated Se Ce to continue to honor the brand and it’s culture, with plans to open in Chinook Mall, Calgary, in summer 2013, and 5-8 more franchise stores across Canada over the next 5 years.
